Royal Academy of Arts award winning Wendy Freestone joins the gallery in late March 2018 with her wonderful social commentary sculptures.
We have four in the gallery right now, a stroke of luck for the North of England, as the show they were due to be in, in London, was curtailed when the Beast from the East struck!
Wendy's work has clear Giacometti influences beautifullly modernised with references to social media running through the work and the effect this can have on the human mind. Connected yet unconnected. We love them, both for the powerful message they portray and for the shear tactility. Come to see them, use your hands too, as we always encourage our visitor to do!
